CFO Office

The CFO Office senior executive team is comprised of our Global CFO and includes senior leaders such as the regional Chief Financial Officers, VP Tax, VP Internal Audit, and VP Financial Planning & Analysis. The SVP, Capital Markets will work as an integral part of this highly talented and well-functioning team that is responsible for the overall success of Vantage’s financial management.

Position Overview

This role can be based in Sterling, VA or London, UK.

The SVP, Capital Markets is critical to our continued success as the company expands both in scale and geographically.  Vantage is looking for a senior, hands-on leader to cross-functionally lead the debt capital raising efforts, globally.  The SVP Capital Markets will report directly to the CFO, Global, and will work with the Vantage regional CFOs and the broader Vantage executive team, both globally and regionally.

This individual will not only be accountable for raising sufficient funding to allow Vantage to capitalize on a significant growth opportunity but will also be expected to develop and act upon strategies to diversify and optimize sources of funds.   In addition, the SVP Capital Markets is closely involved on new business underwriting, asset divestitures and other corporate-level strategic discussions.  This person should be comfortable working with C-suite executives and ensure that key initiatives are kept visible and tracked for progress. 

Essential Job Functions

Capital Raising Strategy:

  • Develop a global capital raising strategy and roadmap across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.

  • Complete capital raising in accordance to strategic needs of the business.

  • Leadership of debt raising transaction for greenfield development and M&A.

  • Actively explore and develop new debt financing solutions, including CMBS, Private Placements, HoldCo, EMEA ABS, and more.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with lenders, institutional debt investors, and other financial stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with regional CFOs to manage compliance with and reporting of key financing covenants.

  • Drive financing communications with board members.

  • Facilitate the implementation of corporate strategies (e.g. portfolio divestitures).

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide guidance to the senior executive team on actions required to facilitate strategic developments (portfolio dispositions, JVs/co investments, large project underwriting).

  • Develop actionable data driven plans.

  • Lead development of presentations for investors and conferences.

Hedging Strategy:

  • Develop a hedging roadmap for currency and interest rate variability; executing hedging transactions.

  • Lead development of hedging strategies and execution of hedging transactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including site acquisition, new site development, construction, insurance, and legal, to address due diligence requests and support financing activities.

  • Coordinate with FP&A to ensure the accuracy of capital structure assumptions in new business case underwriting.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and executive-level dashboards related to capital raising and compliance.

  • Coordinate with regional CFOs on budgeting and cash forecasting to ensure alignment with capital strategy.

Additional Duties:

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in capital raising experience required, 15+ years preferred

  • M&A capital
