About the team

Stripe Issuing enables platforms to launch & deliver successful card programs and financial features into their product in a short period of time using powerful programmatic APIs. The team delivers the infrastructure, user facing features, APIs, banking & network integrations needed to create and manage cards, enable money movement, and drive spend.  This is a great opportunity to help build one of Stripe’s fastest growing businesses.  Our top users span fintechs to large enterprises & cover a range of verticals including Buy Now Pay Later, vertical SaaS platforms, on-demand marketplaces, expense management platforms, fleet, travel & more.

What you’ll do

The Business Credit PM will be responsible for end-to-end ownership for the business credit product stack, which includes user-facing experiences through to infrastructure for our charge card and credit card product solutions. This a highly critical and strategic role, as we believe seizing the business credit market is critical to both Issuing’s mission to power daily spend and Stripe's broader ambitions within embedded finance. To win in this segment, we must invest in both modular and full stack offerings that are extensible to the SaaS Platforms on which SMBs operate their business.  We need a very strong senior product leader to realize this aspiration.

They will be defining the user journey, fleshing out the product strategy, refining the product design in partnership with engineering, and driving top line growth. They will spend significant time with senior customer stakeholders to discuss roadmap strategy, external developers understanding their current pain points and needs, eng leaders to improve our core systems, and Stripe’s sales leadership tohelp win new business on Stripe.

Responsibilities

• Own the user journeys for prospective and current Business Credit users
• Shape the direction, product strategy, and roadmap to address user needs for credit-based Issuing solutions
• Collaboratively partner with other Stripe teams (engineering, design,
  legal, risk, compliance, etc.) throughout the product development
  lifecycle to jointly shape product plans that lead to creative and compelling user experiences
• Act as the voice of the user in product and API designs, gathering direct feedback from customers as they evaluate and build on Stripe

Minimum requirements

• Brings 8+ years of experience in a product role
• Has an obsession over product quality, specifically an intuition for good user flows and user experiences
• Has experience building platform and/or API products
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
• Brings experience partnering with external stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

•  Has domain knowledge in financial products, particularly credit
