As the Physical Security Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the security landscape of both corporate and retail facilities. Your responsibilities will span from overseeing renovations and new constructions to making impactful recommendations on our physical security infrastructure. Dive into dynamic tasks like conducting thorough reviews, audits, trainings, and risk assessments that cover everything from alarms and surveillance systems to access databases, robbery protocols, and ATM fleet security. Collaborate closely with various departments, key vendors, and law enforcement to ensure our loss mitigation and security programs are top-notch. Plus, you'll ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, keeping our operations both safe and efficient.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, coordinate, evaluate, and respond to security measures to protect against threats or hazards to the privacy, security, and/or integrity of member-sensitive information. Manage access control systems, camera/surveillance, locks/keys, and cameras, alarm systems and panels, vault and drawer accesses, ATM/ITMs, and other systems. Work collaboratively with other departments, including Compliance, Retail Operations, Systems Administration, IT, etc., as well as external vendors as necessary to ensure up to date user management in place, regular review and audit of systems is occurring, and response to various threats and/or incidents is appropriate.
  • Notify employees, the Incident Response Team (IRT), and the BSA Officer about financial crimes or suspicious activity. Investigate suspected crimes on Atlantic premises, report unsafe conditions to Management or Facilities, file criminal reports, and liaise with law enforcement. Collaborate on subpoena requests, make court appearances for Atlantic, and document incidents. Develop and implement security, emergency response plans, and the Safety Manual.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for designs, configuration, and implementation of physical security systems for both people and asset/location protection. Assist with facility-related tasks, including visitor/contractor accesses, initial receiving and transfer of courier bags and other mail as appropriate. Meet vendors onsite and escort to appropriate locations. Complete regular checks to ensure that all safety and security measures at physical locations are working effectively. Ensure that all facilities are able to open regularly and safely in adherence with our policies.
  • Regularly audit and monitor the inventory of locks and keys for Atlantic facilities. Ensure alarm devices are functional and tested periodically. Conduct ongoing risk assessments at all Atlantic locations, including ATM/ITMs, to maintain member safety. Annually review and update Bait Packets and train relevant staff. Collaborate with Atlantic Teams for regular safety and security audits, and coordinate extra safety checks with external vendors, reporting the results.
  • Develops and provides appropriate training for all staff in relation to physical threat and security incidents. Lead the in branch Safety Coordinators in regular conversation regarding their role in loss prevention, safety and security risk mitigation, notification, reporting, etc. Remains up to date with and adheres to all Atlantic procedures, compliance, and regulations.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, programs, equipment, and practices to ensure that they follow occupational safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of similar for related experience. 
  • Two year college degree or equivalent of specialized industry specific training.
  • Superior written and verbal communication.
  • Frequent travel to all locations required,
