JOB SUMMARY
The project manager oversees the development and accuracy of income tax account forms, processes and training material. They foster collaboration and communication among stakeholders, cross-divisional teams, and leadership. Working closely with the division and division leadership, they ensure that deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with the agency's objectives and appropriate legislation. Their primary focus is ensuring that projects align with the Income Tax Accounts mission statement, which emphasizes teamwork, process and automation enhancement and enhance the taxpayer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The functions performed by employees in this job family will vary, but may include the following:
- Strategic planning and implementation of approved initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to state and local regulations
- Works with our Tax Policy team to ensure accuracy around Income Tax Forms
- Creates and distributes correspondence relevant to the team, project, or program
- Assists with change management for division initiatives
- Conducts New Employee training, continuing education programs and accurate resource documentation
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Define project success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options on how to proceed with the project.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues during project execution.
- Oversee project communication and reporting, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between project team members and cross-divisional teams.
- Other similar duties as assigned.
