Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance - intern will work closely with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to learn the processes functions of a Quality Department within the Automotion Industry. Typical projects include process improvement, Documentation and record controls, reducing waste, Non-Conformance and Evaluations, etc. As an intern you can expect to gain valuable experience and insight into the workings of manufacturing Quality.
Ideal candidate:
- Local to the Northwest Indiana area. Relocation or housing is not provided for this internship.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not provided for this internship.
- Internship Duration is May 19, 2025 to August 15, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Quality Data Analysis and Improvements
- Interact with quality group as required
- Tests and inspects finished products returned
- Compiles and documents data
- Assist Engineering Dept
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Provide input and assistance in warranty analysis activities performed
- May enter data into computer systems for analysis and updating of database
Qualifications
- In process of attaining a Bachelors Degree (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Completion of 2 years of degree (Junior or Senior)
- Technical writing coursework or equivalent experience
- Expert with excel, word, and powerpoint. (plus Access or similar databases preferred)
- Process Oriented, Accurate, organized, with attention to details
- Six Sigma, Lean, or similar experience demonstrating ability to improve processes
Pay Rate*: $20.00/hour
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
