Position Requirements
The Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring payroll compliance, optimizing processes, and driving automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This role serves as a liaison between payroll and HCM, overseeing compliance controls, payroll process enhancements, and mobility tax arrangements. Additionally, the senior analyst will lead payroll tax reconciliations, manage compliance controls, and assess payroll implications for strategic business initiatives, ensuring compliance while mitigating risk. They will also provide coverage for essential payroll compliance functions, support service escalations, and act as an informal leader within the payroll team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
This position requires a consistent need to work closely with the Payroll team, with other departments within Finance, and with various levels of associates in other divisions of the firm including senior leaders. While there are no direct people responsibilities, this role will coordinate independently with other associates, leaders, and teams outside of Payroll to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines. This includes the ability to identify and help resolve pain points that may not be within our direct responsibility. In addition, this role will require mentoring and training of other associates on the team as it relates to core processes, with leader support.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of related experience, with exposure to payroll tax, compliance, data analysis, and process improvement.
- Skills & Technology:
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, reporting tools, and compliance and governance frameworks.
- Experience with automation tools, HCM/ERP system implementations, and financial reconciliations.
