Field Service Site Technician - MA

Position Summary

Troubleshoot and repair Mitsubishi Electric transit equipment on rail cars at customer locations.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems on equipment using schematic and mechanical drawings. Perform simple repairs or replacements of equipment, if necessary.
• Prepare car reports and other paperwork as necessary (e.g., equipment installation results, test results, any customer requirements, etc.).
• Maintain modification tracking documentation, monitor available car lists for equipment to be modified.
• Receive and ship parts and/or materials as needed.
• Control the spare parts inventory.

Qualifications 

• Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related technical field, plus a minimum of two years’ prior electrical repair/troubleshooting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Broad knowledge of AC, DC, Analog and Digital signals and their measurements.
• General computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products to prepare reports and analysis.
