Job Description

As a valued colleague on our Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) and Diversity and Inclusion team, you will provide expert advice on risk monitoring and reviews for the organization, coordinate risk mitigation activities, and provide risk mitigation assistance to other groups.

We have one opening for this job and it can be worked on a hybrid basis from our Washington, DC, Reston, VA or Plano, TX office.

The OMWI- Risk Management - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Manage projects related to remediation of control gaps in processes.
  • Provide key contributions during the internal/external examinations and remediation of identified issues.
  • Liaise between partner areas related to risk governance activities.
  • Contribute to the identification of gaps in the existing and development of new business processes.
  • Prepare analyses and reports used to determine business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
  • Monitor information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
  • Document resolutions and control guidelines.
  • Review business strategies and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 4 years related risk management experience
  • Prior experience evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Experience identifying risk measures or indicators, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Able to collaborate effectively and develop strong relationships within the team and across the organization
  • Skilled in the representation of findings in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Diversity and Inclusion experience
  • Business resiliency and continuity experience
  • Prior experience leading a cross-functional project
  • Prior governance and compliance experience to include creating policies, evaluating compliance, conducting internal investigations, developing data governance, etc.
  • Experience using eGRC tools such as Risk Works / MetricStream, RSA Archer, etc.
