What You’ll Do

As a Life Safety Systems Executive (Electronic), you’ll represent Johnson Controls at the front line of one of the most critical and in-demand markets—fire and life safety systems. You’ll work directly with customers, end users, and decision-makers to deliver solutions that protect people, property, and operations.

This isn’t just another sales role—you’ll be a trusted advisor, driving new business while growing long-term relationships in your territory. You’ll take full ownership of your pipeline, from prospecting through close, and play a key role in expanding Johnson Controls’ presence in a rapidly evolving market.

How You’ll Do It

You’ll combine strong sales instincts with disciplined execution and a consultative approach to win and grow business.

In this role, you will:

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new opportunities through strategic outreach and lead follow-up
  • Build and execute a territory sales strategy that prioritizes high-value opportunities
  • Educate customers through presentations, demos, and events that showcase the value of Johnson Controls solutions
  • Create compelling financial justifications and proposals that clearly communicate ROI
  • Confidently present, negotiate, and close deals with decision-makers
  • Partner closely with operations to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale through delivery
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities for repeat and expanded business
  • Track your pipeline, metrics, and performance with a strong command of CRM tools
  • Represent Johnson Controls at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a self-driven, competitive, and disciplined sales professional who knows how to build a pipeline and close business.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in electronic systems or a related industry
  • Proven ability to identify, qualify, and close opportunities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence buyers
  • Self-motivated with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and performance

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering
  • 8+ years of success in fire/life safety or related technical sales
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and reading blueprints/wiring diagrams
  • NICET Level II certification
