The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the MQ-25 team in Mascoutah, IL.
As a First Line Leader for MQ-25, you will lead, develop, and support a high-performing team in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. This role is responsible for driving execution, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability, and supporting continuous improvement to meet business and customer commitments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads employees performing work across multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes business plans, policies, and procedures while establishing organizational and technical strategies to achieve operational objectives
- Secures resources, provides technical oversight of suppliers, and leads process improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency
- Builds and maintains strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes to ensure compliance and execution excellence
- Champions a zero-injury mindset and first-time quality culture through accountability, engagement, and disciplined execution
- Leads, inspires, develops, and motivates employees to drive performance, engagement, and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years’ experience working with or supporting military aircraft
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, equivalent work or military experience
- Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN and 5S activities
- Experience with military aircraft maintenance
- Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees

Travel:

This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $111,350 – $150,650
