About the role

Position Overview: As an AV Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for AV systems deployed at client sites. You will work closely with project managers, installation technicians, and clients to ensure the successful operation and performance of AV systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audiovisual technology, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.Key Responsibilities:System Support and Maintenance:Provide on-site support for AV systems, including troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs or replacements as needed.Conduct routine maintenance and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of AV equipment and systems.Technical Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to AV systems, including audio/video signal distribution, control systems, video conferencing, and network connectivity.Identify root causes of problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.Client Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical requirements, address their concerns, and provide timely updates on service requests and resolution status.Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to coordinate field activities, schedule service appointments, and ensure customer satisfaction.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment inventory, and client interactions using ticketing systems or service management tools.Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.Training and Knowledge Sharing:Provide training and guidance to clients and end-users on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems.Share technical expertise and best practices with team members to enhance overall capabilities and knowledge.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience in the audiovisual industry, with a focus on field support, technical troubleshooting, and customer service.Strong technical proficiency in AV technology, including audio/video signal processing, control systems, video conferencing, and network integration.Familiarity with AV industry standards, protocols, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
