Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Benefits to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering all employee benefit plans and acting as the primary liaison for carriers and the broker. The position manages two direct reports and has ownership of benefits-related financials, such as audits, regular invoices and cost tracking. The ideal applicant has sharp leadership skills to manage associates and gain buy-in on new ideas.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Leads the team responsible for administering all employee benefit plans—medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401(k), optional coverage—for 3,000+ employees
- Acts as the primary liaison between employees, benefit carriers and the broker to successfully address policy questions and concerns while providing top-notch, personalized service
- Leads the evaluation of Lakeshore’s benefits package; uses external and internal resources to review, evaluate and propose recommendations for global benefits (USA, Canada, Asia)
- Oversees leave-of-absence administration—including monitoring paperwork, timekeeping and benefit premiums—while ensuring compliance with all leave laws
- Oversees processing of enrollments and changes related to health benefits, COBRA, beneficiaries, etc.
- Oversees the planning and execution of Lakeshore’s open enrollment period(s) and other benefits-centered events
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in subject of educational focus preferred
- 8 years of experience in the field
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- 2 years of experience managing people and projects
- Comprehensive communication skills; prepared to communicate with associates at all levels, as well as carriers and brokers

- Salary: $130,000-150,000 with an annual bonus of up to 15%
