Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager - Water Resources Engineer, with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design, with in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance and pumping systems, for immediate employment in our Nashville (Franklin), TN office.

This role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to focus on a mix of client business growth, project delivery leadership, and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top-notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s Nashville, TN area business. The appropriately qualified applicant will be a seller/doer and have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout. Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projects

  • Supervises and mentors junior staff

  • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on the design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and pumping projects

  • Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.

  • Makes technical presentations

  • Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables

  • Overseeing construction phase engineering services

  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA / BS in Civil, Water Resources, Mechanical, or related engineering field with 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Valid P.E. License

Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
