Purpose of Role
The Transportation Administrator oversees the daily processes of their respective warehouse to ensure our Wholesale and Liquidation business partners receive their product at the right time, while maintaining excellent internal and external customer relationships. This role plans, executes, monitors, and analyzes the flow of product from the distribution houses to our retailers across the U.S.
Your Impact
- Build and cultivate relationships with key logistics teams of UA’s wholesale accounts to ensure smooth flow of orders from UA DH to customer
- Lead calls and collaborate with cross-functional external (customers) and internal partners to clearly articulate freight forecasts, costs, capacity. Troubleshoot any order issues to ensure no delays in shipping
- Analyze BI reports and large data sets to help customers and internal stakeholders identify issues and improve flow of goods
- Aid in the development/improvements of standard operating procedures, reports. Identify reporting gaps and build new reports that fill the gaps
- Partner with internal DH partners to plan and schedule outbound loads and match timing with DH production
- Identify potential delays due to DH processing, trailer capacity, labor, etc and problem solve to avoid delays with customer product.
- Ability to prioritize tasks & deadlines with confidence in ability to solve complex problems
- Willingness to support in coaching & provide mentorship to newer teammates
Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- SAP, Warehouse Management & Transportation Management Systems
- Business Intelligence Reporting & Power BI
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 6 months warehouse or transportation experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs and may oversee the preparation, break down, consolidation, packaging, picking and/or palletization of customer product.
- Utilizes RF unit to scan product barcodes, enter inventory database and/or pick customer orders.
- Demonstrates willingness to train and assist cross-functionally in other areas of the DH.
- May work in various departments as needed.
