The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking to fill an Office Associate II position out of the Augusta office.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This is office and administrative support work. The successful applicant will be a collaborative member of a small team of people whose primary responsibility is:
- Performing complex varied office support tasks.
- Working directly with customers in person, on the phone, through the internet, and by mail.
- Providing oral and written information explaining various licensing and registration requirements in accordance with office standards.
- Administering and issuing licenses, registrations, and miscellaneous licenses and permits on the MOSES system, and through the internet.
- Processing and collecting payment for licenses and registrations (including closing out the register and balancing payments at the end of each day).
The successful candidate should have extensive experience in the use of computers and various computer applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cash handling and working with the public both in person and on the phone.
