Senior Software Engineer

DUTIES: Work with Software Architects on technical enterprise initiatives and deliver clear, documented, and well‐formed research and solutions. Analyze systems software, including preparing specifications, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting requirements. Participate in code development, code testing, code reviews, research, tool evaluation, documenting patterns and standards, and technology evaluation. Lead efforts to promote stability, performance, and security of the deployment process and the release environments. Monitor and troubleshoot issues performance, scalability and network issues related to the software deployment pipeline. Independently analyze and isolate application issues and perform problem resolution. Utilize advanced PowerShell scripting to automate tasks across various versions of Octopus Deploy, enhancing deployment processes and configuration management. Manage and upgrade TeamCity, perform upgrades and maintenance on Octopus Deploy, and configure and manage Octopus Tentacles and deployment targets. Integrate Azure Functions with other Azure services like Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, and Azure Storage. Manage web servers using IIS, including SSL certificate configurations. 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S.

MINIUM REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience. Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) back-end development using Node.js, C# programming, .NET technologies, Azure functions, OAuth protocols and unit testing; 2) utilize advanced PowerShell scripting to automate tasks across various versions of Octopus Deploy, enhancing deployment processes and configuration management; 3) manage web servers using IIS, including SSL certificate configurations; 4) manage and upgrade TeamCity, perform upgrades and maintenance on Octopus Deploy, and configure and manage Octopus Tentacles and deployment targets; and 5) integrate Azure Functions with other Azure services like Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, and Azure Storage.

Salary Range: Salary: $148,949 - $170,300/year
