The Challenge
Due to increased customer demand for the OneTrust Intelligence Platform, we’re looking to hire a Senior Counsel, Commercial to provide transactional support on commercial contracts. This role manages complex legal matters with minimal supervision, serves as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, and plays a key part in shaping best practices within the Commercial & Product Support team.
Your Mission
- Negotiate and close complex SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, including in highly regulated industries
- Own and resolve sophisticated transactional commercial matters independently and lead smaller projects or workstreams.
- Handle ad-hoc legal requests for support from the sales function and other business units
- Serve as a trusted advisor by balancing legal risk with commercial priorities
- Understand key IP, commercial, and finance requirements
- Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance, and apply them to business practices
- Drive compliance in day-to-day sales activities, including providing training
- Contributed to the development and refinement of legal team templates, playbooks, and precedents
- Assist with wider company projects assigned to the Commercial & Product Support team

- Highly organized
Your Experience Includes
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school required
- Member of a State Bar in good standing
- 6+ years of transactional legal experience on complex customer contracts

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
