Reporting To: Head of Connected Services, NORAM
VIE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
- European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old
- Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
- Desire to be employed long-term by Airbus and a passion for the aerospace sector

The contract duration of this VIE position is between 12-18 months depending on the US Government decision on your J-1 visa.
JOB SUMMARY:
As the VIE Connected Services Business Analyst, you will work at Airbus Helicopters, Inc. (AHI) in Grand Prairie, Texas (located between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas). You will join the Connected Services North America organization.
Airbus Helicopters Inc.'s Connected Services department is responsible for deploying and leveraging aircraft connectivity systems to support and digitize its customers' processes based on operational data. Connected Services solutions portfolio includes data based services that support airworthiness, maintenance and operational safety.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business decisions and coordinate with business leaders to answer key business questions. The Business Analyst will also contribute in the development of strategies and ad-hoc projects related to the deployment of Connected Services and customer retention plan.
The VIE in this role will be responsible for:
Data Analysis and Business Intelligence: 50%
- Analyse and extract relevant information from data to support business decisions
- Collect data and develop database to improve operational activities
- Develop ad-hoc queries for reporting and data visualization
- Design performance measuring metrics for current businesses
Strategic Planning: 30%
- Align with Airbus Helicopters Group to consolidate AHI’s Connected Services strategy at the Group level
- Contribute to the strategic definition and roadmap of Connected Services solution deployment
- Participate in the drafting and developing of business cases, including financial models, and scenario analyses
Project Management: 20%
- Develop and maintain necessary project documentation such as (but not limited to) project charter, burn down chart, Kanban boards to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders at AHNA and AH Group to ensure satisfactory project execution
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education
- Bachelor Degree or above in Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Experience
- One year of business management experience
- Prefer experience in aviation and/or project management
Required Qualified Skills:
- Advanced English language skills, both verbal and written. French or German skills are a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, not including apprenticeships or internships is preferred
- Technical tools and skills
- Strong computer
