Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a results-driven Systems Engineering Integrator (Mid-Level or Senior) to work onsite full-time in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Proactively lead, plan, identify and coordinate resources from multi-skilled disciplines and support functions to successfully lead engineering changes through program change processes while maintaining high level of attention to detail and commitment to first time quality

  • Develop change packages and proposals to ensure compliance with technical, cost and schedule, regulatory/certification and company baseline management requirements

  • Ensure consistent application of Configuration and Data management policies, processes and program management best practices, and those process documents are current and accurate

  • Lead other systems integration processes and efforts as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • 3+ years of experience supporting change management and process improvement activities

  • 3+ Years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives

  • 3+ years of experience with structures engineering

  • 1+ years of experience working in a Production Environment enabling Manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • (Level 4): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

  • Agile and willing to work in a fast-paced work environment while balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail

  • Experience with engineering of large-scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines

  • Experience working with engineering and technical Data for KC-46, VC-25B, P8 or Commercial 767, 747, 737 or comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, determine priorities, establish a course of action and follow through to completion

  • Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal direction

  • Direct experience working with Department of Defense or United States Air Force

Typical Education/Experience: 

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
