About the role

Overview

As a part time Warehouse Certifier, you will contribute to the success of PepsiCo by ensuring all inventory is reconciled, with a focus on cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for the entire business unit across all shifts. Our Warehouse Supervisor will manage front line staff and help fill in with other leadership staffing.

Responsibilities

Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Inventory responsibilities for location
  • Reconcile full goods inventory for the location
  • Troubleshoot inventory variances as required
  • Manage the day-to-day inventory process for finished goods in compliance
  • Maintain all documentation per our document retention policy
  • Perform all period close and audit accountabilities (period close performed on period close weekends when required)
  • Participate each period close process
  • Count Product, pallets, and recounts as needed

May also count truck inventory and keep accurate records of finished goods transported out of the facility for sales delivery or distribution to another warehouse. Certify each pallet for accurate records of certified loads transported out of the facility and maintains appropriate records. Position is responsible for primary understanding configuration, number of cases on pallet & certifying the pallets and loads that are transported out of facility for DSD Delivery. Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable).

 

Position requires climbing onto trailers and route trucks, reaching and pushing cases weighing 20-45 pounds. Position often operates independently with minimal supervision.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $34,800 - $55,650.

Qualifications

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Keep accurate records of certified loads transported out of the facility for DSD delivery
  • Count floor and truck inventories
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner (if applicable)
  • Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standards
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled & assist in nightly inventory count
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas (e.g. yard and warehouse)
  • Maintain records of daily checklist
  • Demonstrate communication, and conflict resolution with peers
  • Ensure adherence to audit standards for process control and documentation (e.g., checking/certifying product, following process controls, meeting quality standards with tight deadlines, etc.)
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
  • Track each load accurately, count pallets accurately, & maintain pace of pallet configuration
  • Collaborates with the warehouse manager and the loader team to ensure the effective allocation of resources for the evening shift.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years or older
  • Must be able to pass the Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
  • Microsoft Word and Excel are strongly recommended for this role.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

  • Counting inventory (e.g., tracking in-bound/out-bound inventory using basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, etc.)
  • Controlling inventory (e.g., counting the level of inventory on the shop floor or locating or tracking products in the warehouse for route loading)
  • Process control and documentation (e.g., checking/certifying products, following process controls, meeting quality standards with tight deadlines, etc.)
  • Working in a warehousing environment (e.g., understanding SKU configuration, understanding the number of cases on pallets and the number of pallets on rows, operating consistently with safety standards. Working with computers (e.g., operating hand-held remote devices, building and working with spreadsheets and gate logs that show movement of products in and out of a facility, e
