Junior Cost Manager, Construction Projects

That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.  Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, in over 125 offices worldwide.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>To provide support to (Senior) Cost Managers on a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions</p><p><strong>Assisting the Commission Manager on a range of tasks, to include:</strong> </p><ul><li>Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking; </li><li>Estimating and producing cost plans; </li><li>Compiling and amending the tender list; </li><li>Drafting the procurement documentation; </li><li>Checking and analysing the tenders; </li><li>Drafting the tender report; </li><li>Dealing with variations and the change control processes, negotiating less financially significant or complex matters; </li><li>Conducting cost checks and valuations; </li><li>Drafting monthly reports; </li><li>Analysing the numbers for the final accounts; </li><li>Liaising with the client, contractors, designers, etc. </li></ul><p><strong>Other responsibilities, to include: </strong> </p><ul><li>Preparing presentation materials for client pitches, etc.; </li><li>Inputting key information into the Turner &amp; Townsend internal database </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>University degree in construction related engineering (structural, building, electrical, HVAC) or architecture</li><li>Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.</li><li>Great organisational skills; ability to multi-task and be a team player.</li><li>High level of numerical reasoning and analytical skills.</li><li>IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)</li><li><strong>English and Italian language skills required</strong></li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><em>Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
