The HR Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment process of the organization. Duties include performing administrative tasks to include posting and tracking the receipt of applications for open positions, setup of interviews and handling the onboarding process for all new hires.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the recruitment process for Administration, Operations, Fleet, Logistics, Planning and Education divisions within IEMS.
- Communicates/corresponds with prospective applicants seeking information regarding employment opportunities and is responsible for thorough follow-up on each inquiry.
- Maintains the applicant tracking system by opening and closing jobs, updating job information, reassigning positions.
- Trouble shoots and resolves all applicant and system issues related to the HR ATS and HRIS
- Responsible for coordinating offers of employment, background screening and scheduling of uniform fitting, fit testing, new hire physical, etc.
- Assists with maintaining listing of current licenses/certifications as required by regulatory bodies by checking them online with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security / Fire and Building Safety Division and doing background checks on each newly hired employee.

- Participates in departmental project work focused on delivering efficiencies and innovations to drive the human resources operation function forward.
- Assists with transaction processing in support of HR functions, including data entry, filing, sending correspondence, employment verifications, etc.
- Assists with monitoring of data in HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information.
- Develops and maintains trusting relationships with staff and management.
- Reports sensitive and/or high-profile issues timely to IEMS management.
- Complete special projects as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements
- Associate in Human Resources preferred
- In lieu of degree, 3 to 5 years’ experience in Human Resources
