The role of the Custom Parts Delivery Driver is to successfully custom parts to customers keeping projects on schedule, ensuring job quality standards, and providing overall great customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Safely load, transport, and deliver custom stair parts for both residential and commercial projects
- Perform pre-load and delivery quality checks
- Take jobsite photos and ensure accurate documentation
- Complete paperwork according to company standards
- Safe accident-free driving
- Comply with all traffic laws
- Report any damage or issues immediately
- Comply with Company Fleet Management Policies
- Efficient routing and scheduling
- Work with management to assure efficient routing to minimize delivery cost
- Vehicle care and maintenance
- Comply with customer policies and safety requirements
- Pull, stage, and unload orders as needed in the warehouse
- Assist with other warehouse duties, including truck unloading and general support
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
Job Competencies:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- A clear understanding of company policies and procedures, applicable federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong service mentality
Qualifications:
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Proven ability to drive a 26’ box truck
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to accurately QC check and document order fulfillment
- Excellent Teamwork
- Background in woodworking and craftsmanship a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
- Able to work in the field in varied weather and jobsite conditions.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position.
Travel:
Travel will be required for this position (>75%)
