Your new role

Investment Compliance Specialist will focus on 2024 Transformation initiatives addressing false alerts. Senior Specialist will work together with Data Team, Product Team across Global Investment Compliance teams on problem analysis, resolving issues, designing solutions, creating & sharing best practice, building and streamlining the operating model in Charles River Development (CRD).

As Investment Compliance Specialist - Transformation, Senior Associate you will be responsible for:

• Root cause analysis of data exceptions

• Working with respective teams on resolution of data sourcing & mapping issues

• Developing compliance operating model from both system & operations perspective

• Documenting requirements for process improvements or functional changes / enhancements

• Supporting Investment Compliance workflow optimization actions

• Best practice creation, spreading across IC teams & creating supporting documentation

• Project Management duties:

  • Understand and communicate impact of designed solutions

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure stakeholder engagement

  • Escalate risks and issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Execute upon enhancement requests of varying scale and complexity

  • Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions to streamline and improve upon functions, workflow and processes.    

  • Help to manage relationships with clients, making sure that requests are being met and that internal / external clients are satisfied with the level of service

What we value

Qualifications and experience:

• Good understanding of fund regulations

• Experience working with Bloomberg data or other market data vendors an asset (IDC, RIMES MDS, Reuters)

• Expertise of CRD and investment compliance operations or strong fund admin background

• Advanced command of English language and communication skills

Skills and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Ability to develop business relationships, both within and outside of the organization

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills

• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks, and execute upon concurrent assignments
