Job Summary
The CCR (Coal Combustion Residual) Project Manager will be responsible for all field related issues for the project from start of environmental remediation to completion of project. Responsible for oversight of the contractor(s), during all aspects of the project and ensure all Vistra responsibilities are met on schedule and compliant with all laws/regulations.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Manage all aspects of the project, including budgets and schedules. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed and maintained. Projects include Pond Dewatering, Water Treatment, Demolition, Landfill and Impoundment Construction and Closure,
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables for any scope of work not included in the contracts
Interpret and understand the contracts and technical information to work with main contractor through contract completion.
Report work progress and budget matters to management via standard processes and procedures
Collaborate with engineers, contractors and the operations team at site (if applicable)
Work with contractor to understand schedule and justify percent complete
Understand and approve monthly invoices from the contractor for payment. Communicate with executive management using weekly and monthly reports
Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems and coordinate with management and site to answer any RFI’s from the contractor
Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations
Work with operations staff for plant turnover, if necessary
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Five years of demolition, construction or equivalent energy industry experience, prior experience in project management
Experience in large scale environmental remediation, including heavy civil projects
5+ years experience in budget and schedule management.
Ability to manage multiple contract scopes
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
Key Metrics
The incumbent would utilize sound judgement and project management expertise to understand key deliverables in the contract and interface directly with contractor on all contract needs including working with the contractor to ensure the project is on schedule and budget
The position will require the ability to manage and coordinate multiple groups of the project from operations staff to the management team to ensure all deliverables are met
Manage and negotiate all change orders to remain within budget
