Senior Software Developer

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer is a senior member of the engineering team responsible for full stack software development, maintenance, monitoring, and resolution of complex software solutions—primarily within .NET, Relativity, and related eDiscovery platforms and tools.

This role demands a very strong, detail-oriented full stack .NET developer who can work across multiple front-end frameworks and contribute to a modern development environment.

Candidates should be well-versed in Test Driven Development and have experience with DevOps practices, particularly in Kubernetes-based environments.

 

This role spans the entire project lifecycle—from inception through implementation and maintenance. The engineer must work collaboratively across departments to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:   

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of moderate to highly complex solutions (including data infrastructure, reporting, and applications) that address the informational and analytical needs of the various groups. 

• Apply a test-driven development mindset to design and implement high-quality, maintainable, and secure code.
• Develop unit tests and contribute to test automation pipelines.
• Responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle which include requirements gathering, solution design, application development, and system testing. 
• Coordinate all aspects of implementation and training to support new programs and systems.
• Analyze end user data needs and develop user-oriented solutions which interface with existing applications.
• Maintain documentation for all work processes and procedures.
• Make improvement suggestions and adhere to all approved work changes for the team.
• Interact and partner effectively across all appropriate internal business teams.
• Provide backup support for all work and project efforts as needed.
• Provide leadership on team planning and growth strategy.
• Ensure execution of all industry InfoSec specific compliance matters within the team.
• Participate in major upgrades to Platform software. 
• Participate or training in business functionality for system end users. 
• Test operation of completed programs, debug as needed.
• Develop functional unit testing around developed applications for testing automation.

Additional Responsibilities/Details:  

• Acts as a technical liaison to other departments and may be responsible for providing support to the organization’s Case/Client efforts using technology and critical thinking.

• Responsible for development & maintenance of scripts and programs to customize NUIX processing platform.
• Responsible for customization of Relativity and development & maintenance of custom modules in Relativity platform.
• Coordinate or lead all or portions of technology projects. 
• Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to the Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis
• Adaptable and able to learn quickly and demonstrate a big picture approach when managing projects.
• Stay current on modern architecture trends, tools, and frameworks.
• Apply DevOps principles in collaboration with infrastructure and deployment teams (CI/CD, scripting, automation).

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:   

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or comparable business/technical experience. 

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:  

• At least 5 years of application development experience which includes: programming, data management, collection, modeling and interpretation across complex data sets. Programming skills (database, system, or scripting). 

• Experience using Visual Studio and C# .Net writing server-side applications.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, SSIS, and consuming/building APIs.
• Experience with SQL Server, advanced SQL querying, and integration with relational databases.
• Experience with UI dev using Angular / Angular 2 framework.
• Demonstrated experience in Test Driven Development and automated test pipelines.
• Experience or familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a strong plus.
• Building and maintaining responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.
