Illumifin is a leading provider of business process outsourcing for the insurance industry, managing policies for the nation's largest insurers. We also provide clients with unique risk management insight built upon our proprietary databases.

Ā 

Responsible for providing timely and accurate financial statements, reports, forecasts and analysis for company management. In addition, performs accounting services, keeps updated on accounting policies and principles and ensures compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

Ā 

  • Manage all phases of the monthly and year-end financial reporting:
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet and cash flow statements
    • Ownership of GAAP checklist for year-end financial statements
    • Oversee accuracy and completeness of year-end annual reports
  • Manage external audits including the preparation of financial schedules & respective footnote disclosures.
  • Lead efforts to continuously mature financial controls:
    • Develop control environment framework consistent with SOX requirements
    • Develop and maintain repeatable control documentation
    • Develop and maintain accounting and financial close policies and procedures
  • Lead efforts surrounding purchase price accounting:
    • Handle all aspects of purchase price accounting for acquisitions and in the event of sale of company
    • Provide recommendations for corporate approval
  • Lead research on accounting issues, including those pertaining to acquisition entities
    • Work directly with external auditors (Forvis) and other outside resource providers (PwC)
    • Provide analysis and recommendations for C-suite approval
    • Provide coaching and guidance to accounting team to drive a strong dynamic team.
  • Assist in developing annual financial plan & preparing detailed cash flow, operating & capital forecasts.
  • Support tax provisioning and compliance processes:
    • Determine monthly provision and entries
    • Provide quarterly estimates support to external service provider (Forvis)
    • YE provision – provide support as required by Forvis and ensure accuracy
  • Hire, train and develop staff
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports
  • Ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management
  • Experience with at least 7 years of accounting, reporting, compliance with policies and procedures, variance analysis, planning and budgeting experience
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of initiative with strong degree of leadership and decision-making abilities
  • System expertise Excel and general ledger software
  • Four plus years of management responsibilities
  • Experience implementing/executing complex projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications and experience: CPA or MBA
  • Private Equity Experience
  • Mergers & Acquisition
  • Public Accounting Experience – Audit
  • SOX controls
  • Systems Experience: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday Adaptive

The base salary range for this position is from $175,000to $195,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
