A Day in the Life

The Medtronic Diabetes organization is looking for a Software Product Owner to join our Pump Software Organization for evolving our next generation pump platform.

As Product Owner you will have responsibility for coordinating efforts between technology and business to drive innovation by supporting the product lifecycle from concept through launch. In addition to driving programs, you also set product vision and keep it on-track, working with the engineering teams to execute, and risk-manage very complex product development programs.
Be part of the pump software team, focused on transforming how diabetes is managed through engineering solutions, catering to both your engineering mentality and desire to make a difference in world. You will help create solutions that simplify diabetes care and improve clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate to define and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a software roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define product software requirements.
  • Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer needs.
  • Approve implemented work (user stories, features etc.) from Sprint to Sprint or Stage to Stage.
  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to the development team throughout the development cycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with the product vision.
  • Support product launches, including post launch support activities.

Must Have; Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience
  • or a master’s degree

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$98,400.00 - $147,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
