Technician Assistant

Overview of the Position:

Perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components. Work to ensure that customer orders are complete within the Repair Group's standards and procedures by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Has aptitude to perform maintenance and is eager to train.
• Ensures the data being used to perform maintenance and alteration tasks is current per the repair station requirements.
• Records the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

• Performs the necessary research to assure that technical data and manuals are current and appropriate for associated tasks.

• Other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Prefer some related college courses, certificate, or associate degree.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 30 pounds.
