The Team:
The Team Leaders are a fundamental component of the Older Persons Mental Health Service’s Reform. Ultimately the new OPMHS leadership structure, including these new positions, will make an incredible difference to the lives of our clients/patients/ consumers and their family/carers/supporters. We are looking for people who want to work with our management, frontline staff (nursing, allied health, and other important roles) and key stakeholders in our South Community Teams in partnership with our Statewide Inpatient Unit.
The Role:
- Leads and manages the coordination of patient care within the OPMHS South Community Teams. in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
- Provides leadership in contemporary nursing/ allied health practice and promotes an environment conducive to innovation and change.
- Manages the financial, physical, and human resources of the OPMHS South Community Teams to achieve agreed service outcomes within the allocated budget
You will need:
The Team Leader works autonomously at unit level, under the general direction of the Group Director OPMHS (or their delegate) to provide direction and leadership to the OPMHS South Community Teams and is responsible and accountable for the following:
- Ensuring the standards of client care within the teams are in accordance with clinical standards and evidence-based practice.
- Managing physical, financial and human resources effectively, ensuring team objectives are met.
- Encouraging and supporting staff to develop further knowledge and skills to enhance the individual and the teams.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $135,002 to $138,296 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
