Job Summary:

As a Layout Supervisor at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of layout for critical custom, memory, analog, or standard cell circuits. You’ll lead a dynamic team that crafts the physical layout of transistors, resistors, and capacitors used in the development of innovative memory products. Your attention to detail and expertise in layout verification will chip in to the success of our projects.

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and improve business processes to drive efficiency and improvements through the entire layout process

  • Track efficiency and effectiveness through metrics and 1:1 discussions

  • Set goals and coach team members to drive higher performance and improve skillsets, and they develop in their careers.

  • Maintain a positive work environment.

  • Oversee training

  • Be responsible for overall quality of team functions

  • Responsible for findings from mistakes and gaps, form feedback flow to improve the processes

  • Set performance management guidelines for team

  • Set vision and initiatives for team success within department and company goals

Layout Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Responsible for creating layout designs for critical circuits, ensuring they meet process rules and match the schematic.  You will work closely with Design, Process, and CAD engineers to create layout solutions. 

  • Layout Verification: Perform layout verification tasks such as LVS (Layout vs. Schematic), DRC (Design Rule Check), and quality checks.  Continuously improve verification tools and methodologies to create high quality layout. 

  • On-Time Delivery: Deliver block-level layouts within specified timelines while maintaining acceptable quality standards.

  • Project Management: Contribute to effective project management by collaborating with multi-functional global teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proficiency in layout tools and methodologies.

  • Experience with custom, memory, analog, or standard cell layout design.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor processes, CMOS and design rules.

  • Experience with brand new DRAM technology

  • Ability to code in a scripting language is very desirable

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
