None/Not RequiredThe KC-46 Pegasus is the future of the United States Air Forces aerial refueling fleet. The next generation tanker will provide the USAF with the capabilities to replace the legacy tanker fleets of the KC-10 and KC-135. The KC-46 will provide aerial refueling support to the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft.This position is for a Systems Engineering Internship on the KC-46 Team within the Fixed Wing Systems, Military Avionics & Helicopters, and Avionics Engineering at Collins Aerospace. In this role the selected individual will become a contributor on the Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) team aiding in the integration, verification and subsystem support efforts for the Remote Vision System (RVS) 2.0. The program is working to enhance the technology of the RVS within Air Refueling Officers Station (AROS).
What You Will Do:
Work with an experience professional Platform Systems Engineering team on the state of the art Remote Vision System
Work within the RVS System Integration Lab (SIL)
Work with a diverse geo-located team on various Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Potential travel to other Collins Aerospace sites and customer locations to aid in testing
What You Will Learn:
RVS 2.0 Lab integration activities including Test Events and general integration
System Design Work – working with Requirements, Interface Control and System Design documentation as program progresses and matures
Subsystem Collaboration – work with lower level systems team through various design and verification activities
System Verification – Creating/Modifying/Updating Verification Test Cases and Procedures to aid in the System Level Verification of the RVS 2.0 system
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
