Description:

We are looking for a senior software engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of architects and researchers. The role requires expertise designing, implementing and testing high performance computations on distributed analytics platforms. You will be engaged in all the software life-cycle phases for producing prototypes and proof-of-concepts integrating new technologies in Huawei’s cloud-based analytics product to keep it in sync with the industry trends.

Requirements

• BSc or above in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
• Solid background in software industry, 7+ years working as software engineer
• Solid experience with large scale and high-performance distributed software design and development in Java.
• Experience with Big Data, real time streaming analytics and historical data analysis.
• Experience designing, developing and testing microservices using Spring.

Desired Skill & Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in Big Data Hadoop ecosystem, Postgres, MyBatis.
• Deep understanding of distributed computing framework such as: Spark, Kafka-streams or similar.
• Experience with data ingestion processing for OLAP (e.g. Druid).
• Experience on complex SQL queries.
• Implement automatized tests scrupulously.
• Experience using containers (Docker, K8) and microservices frameworks. (e.g. Spring Reactive)
• Additional knowledge on other languages besides Java: JS, Python, Kotlin
• Proactive and not afraid of taking ownership
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fast learner and confident when working in research projects
• Ability to work within a team while successfully delivering individual targets
• Experience working within an Asian business culture is a plus
