The Johns Hopkins University Department of Genetic Medicine is seeking a casual Laboratory Aide to assist in CORE Store daily operations, cryogenic banking and shipping activities in a busy service center. The employee with work under direct supervision of a GRCF staff member.
Specific Duties & and Responsibilities
- Deliver the CORE inventory products to the individual research labs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate copies of receiving documents, purchase orders, and Homewood forms to assure a proper tracking system for vendor billing.
- Maintain the stability and integrity of the inventory items at all times.
- Assist in the quarterly inventory.
- Demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Work at the Johns Hopkins University BioBank and participates in small- and large-scale projects of vial placement, inventory, and retrieval into ultra-low temperature and liquid nitrogen freezers.
- Participates in small- and large-scale vial relabeling and discard projects.
- Participates in biorepository database tracking and modification in BSI.
Minimum Qualifications
- Actively pursuing High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

Role/Level/Range: ACRO37.5/01/CA
Starting Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 HRLY ($36,400 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Casual / On Call
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 5 PM, occasionally may need to flex outside of those hours
