Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
Position Summary:
The CFO DM Data Architecture team is responsible for defining and delivering the data structures, standards, and integrated architecture that enable high‑quality, well-governed financial data for CFO Data Management. The individual will directly contribute to CFO DM’s target-state data ecosystem by enabling trusted, governed, and traceable data that supports regulatory obligations, financial processes, and strategic analytics. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology, understands complex financial data flows, and can translate requirements into sustainable data architectures and metadata patterns. The role requires a strategic mindset with hands-on capability in data strategy, tooling, and architecture design.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology
- Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
- Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
- Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
- Drives the development and adoption of standardized data architecture patterns, ensuring consistent lineage capture, metadata quality, and traceability across critical financial data flows.
- Leads analysis of complex data transformations, dependencies, and integration points to optimize data pipelines and strengthen data quality and control outcomes.
- Supports strategic efforts such as data modernization, platform modernization/migration, tooling and capability assessments, and the simplification of legacy data environments.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in financial services
- Experience with SQL and analyzing datasets
- Experience with financial services data, particularly finance, regulatory, or risk-related domains
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
