PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p></p> <p>This role supports the planning and execution of projects during the preconstruction phase, contributing to accurate estimating, competitive subcontractor procurement, and effective project setup. This role collaborates with the Preconstruction Manager, development, and operations teams to develop project budgets, define scopes of work, and support front-end project planning efforts. This role is key to ensuring project feasibility, cost certainty, and a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction by coordinating bid efforts, analyzing trade coverage, and supporting procurement and early project logistics. Internally, this role will be referred to as a "Preconstruction Engineer."</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>You will thrive in this role if you:</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Are curious and forward-thinking while remaining grounded in organizational objectives.</li> <li>Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to identify issues and recommend solutions.</li> <li>Have the ability to adapt to varying environments, responsibilities, and priorities.</li> <li>Demonstrate initiative and a drive to improve processes and outcomes.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>These skills will be used to:</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Support the development of accurate and complete project estimates across all phases of preconstruction.</li> <li>Perform and/or coordinate quantity takeoffs with internal teams and shared services partners.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Preconstruction Manager and Shared Services to develop conceptual, schematic, and GMP-level estimates.</li> <li>Assist in preparing and assembling Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals and supporting documentation.</li> <li>Facilitate alignment between internal cost structures (CSI/MasterFormat) and Fischer Group cost categories.</li> <li>Lead development of scopes of work for subcontractor bidding, with a focus on multifamily construction.</li> <li>Support subcontractor outreach, prequalification, and bid management using platforms such as Autodesk TradeTapp.</li> <li>Lead bid leveling, scope comparisons, and analysis to ensure complete and competitive trade coverage.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Required Qualifications:</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related fields.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Desired Qualifications:</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years of experience in c
