Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The hospital is looking to hire a Pharmacist for the day shift!

 

Role Overview:

• Review and process take home prescriptions in Enterprise Rx system as per MSKCC policy and state regulations
• Provide patient counseling and medication management
• Assist with inventory management
• Coordinate services with all MSK departments of patient care (including medication reconciliation, discharge planning, outpatient clinic services, and patient financial services (PFS)).
• Coordinate services with all MSK offsite pharmacies and regional pharmacies
• Assist with pharmacy inspections
• Assist with third party insurance audits
• Assist with copay collection
• Provide After hours on-call services (rotation)
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

Key Qualifications:

• Valid NY Pharmacist license
• PharmD (or equivalent)
• Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems
• Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred

• Able to adopt a culture centered around patient safety
• Able to make good judgements even with incomplete information
• Able to suggest changes to workflow to improve patient care
• A person with strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn in an empowering environment
• Someone with a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems
• Someone with an encouraging attitude towards others’ beliefs and ideas

Additional Information:

• Location: 160 E. 53rd Street
• Shift: Day shift, Monday – Friday (subject to change based on departmental needs)
• Reports into: Manager, Pharmacy

Pay Range: $60.93-$100.62
