Sr. Finance Manager, FP&A Operations

The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Head of FP&A, this position will be a critical member of the Finance team as we support finance process excellence. This position will partner with leaders within global finance and the business to manage Moderna’s overall FP&A processes to optimize month-end close activities, internal management reporting, planning and ad-hoc analysis.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the Corporate Head of FP&A as well as leaders within global finance and the business to manage Moderna's overall FP&A processes and tools.

• Partner with corporate functions to budget centrally planned items (e.g., stock-based compensation, benefit costs, etc.).

• Oversee project management activities related to financial planning and analysis.

• Lead the development and execution of financial planning and analysis initiatives.

• Work across Moderna finance to ensure timeline completion of deliverables by business FP&A teams.

• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate business scenarios and guide decision-making.

• Partner with Moderna Digital to ensure the implementation and maintenance of financial software systems, including Oracle EPM.

• Manage the company functional allocation process in SAP and Oracle EPM.

• Help ensure data accuracy across systems and reporting tools.

• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is preferred.

• 5+ years prior FP&A experience and project management experience is critical.

• Proficiency in Oracle EPM, dynamic modeling, and Visual Basic programming in Excel is required.
