As a Security Officer – Government Patrol Full-Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to promote a sense of security, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with visitors, staff, and the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols while performing patrol duties.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points as needed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
