About the role

Job Title: Senior Engineer - Design, Failure, and Mission Assurance


Location: Huntsville, AL

Canvas is looking for a talented Senior Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of MDA's Engineering Design group and will support Engineering Technical Reviews, Failure Review Boards, Engineering Integration, and Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrices (MAP RAMs).


Duties:


Enable MDA Programs in preparation of Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrices (MAP RAMs) and in setting thresholds for each requirement in the MAP

Support the preparation and review of Technical Review Plans for the conduct of Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDRs, CDRs and Agile Reviews)

Provide support during the planning and conduct of Engineering Technical Reviews

Support System- and Element- Level failure reviews


Requirements:


Masters in STEM Field with 12+ years of relevant experience

  • BA with 20+ years of relevant experience may be substituted

Strong understanding of engineering design principles

Experience in the flow-down of System-level requirements which influence Element-level designs.

Experience conducting and managing failure reviews

Exceptional communications and organization skills


Desired:


Knowledge of agile engineering design processes

Knowledge of digital engineering principles

Knowledge of and experience with the Missile Defense System (elements, products, increments and capabilities)

Knowledge of the MDA Mission Assurance Provisions
