Senior Cloud Scrum Master

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Scrum Master to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure.  This individual will have a background in Dev Ops technologies and agile methodologies.

 

This is a Hybrid role.  Must be local to the DC Metro area.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Foster an agile mindset and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and priorities.
• Apply deep knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Dev Ops, AWS, Azure, GCP) to guide development teams.
• Coach and mentor team members on agile methodologies, best practices, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement and track metrics to measure team performance and progress.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of concurrent experience in project and program management including:
• At least 3 years of experience managing IT projects and programs.
• At least 5 years of experience in coaching multiple agile teams,
• Proven experience as a scrum master – KANBAN/SCRUMBAN methods.
• Proven experience with managing using Dev Ops concepts.
• Proven experience with Agile Reporting techniques.
• Proven experience in improving Work –In – Progress (WIP) Management,
• Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification OR PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification required.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
