We are looking for a Sr UX Designer co-lead design efforts on our flagship Practice Management System Dentrix Ascend. You’re an experienced product designer who has deep empathy for customers and excels in complex systems thinking to create a seamless user experience. You have experience across research, UI, and UX design, with expertise in at least one area. You are excited to do the design work, but can also mentor more junior designers.
This is a highly interactive role requiring the skills of a team player who can dig into the details of business requirements with sometimes complex technical constraints. You’ll bring knowledge of design best practices, identify research needs in the product roadmap, and actively manage and facilitate communications with stakeholders.

What You Will Do
Champion user-centered design by deeply understanding customer needs, pain points, and behaviors through research, interviews, and usability testing.
Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation and prototyping to high-fidelity UI designs and detailed design specifications
Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, ensuring a seamless and iterative design process that integrates feedback at every stage
Balance user needs with business goals, making strategic design decisions that drive both usability and impact
Facilitate design thinking workshops, retrospectives, and critiques to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Conduct and analyze voice-of-customer research, usability assessments, and other qualitative insights to refine and enhance user experiences
Mentor and guide junior designers from other teams, helping them grow their skills

What You Will Have
5+ years of experience designing and delivering top-tier B2B software products in a product design role
Expertise across the full design lifecycle: from problem discovery through data and research, to solution ideation, prototyping, user testing, and iteration
Proven track record of designing end-to-end user experiences, focusing on seamless journeys and intuitive interactions
A customer-first mindset with a passion for identifying and solving user pain points, and engaging directly with users to ensure we’re building what truly meets their needs
A growth-oriented, self-aware designer who is eager to learn, improve, and adapt
Experience working closely with product managers and engineers
A solid understanding of web and native solution design, with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud
Hands-on experience working with design systems, style guides, interac
