The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Personal Investing Product team, discovering and delivering solutions for John Hancock’s direct to consumer wealth channel. This role enables our investor’s purchase journey and engagement with John Hancock products and services by identifying opportunities that move our strategy forward and designing and building solutions to capitalize on those opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify complex operational business issues and develop creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies that are consistent with business long-term strategic plans.
- Create integrated strategic solutions by working with products owners to define technical requirements and with customer support teams to define new procedures.
- Deliver sophisticated solutions with structure: identify, track and execute business readiness/technical tasks often by yourself or through others. Mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies impeding your objective.
- Identify resource needs for implementation and establish roles, expectations, and goals with team members.
- Plan and implement measurement solutions to determine success and oversee ongoing improvement, as necessary.
- Oversee and manage implementation support, including identifying procedure documentation/training needs and triaging system issues, working with product owners and system teams to help prioritize resolution steps.
- Provide effective and regular communication within the implementation team, stakeholders, sponsors and management.
- Represent and advocate for Personal Investing in initiatives across the organization impacting product and customer support, ensuring needs are appropriately addressed.
Requirements for this role
- Bachelors’ degree
- 5+ years progressive business analysis and/or project management experience supporting significant business initiatives.
- Prior experience in executing complex, multi-dimensional technology and business process initiatives within an agile methodology framework.
- A sound understanding of retirement/retail financial products, asset retention/gathering business, services and distribution models.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management (both internal and external). Collaborative mindset with good persuasion and influencing skills.
- Passion for, and experience in, delivering superior omni-channel customer experiences.
- Ability to influence and drive sustainable change across a diverse set of constituents.
