Job Description:

The essential purpose of this leadership position is to oversee the Board of Parole operations, daily and to support the work of the parole board and contracted individuals and staff. This position will directly supervise and oversee a group of administrative staff. This individual is responsible for ensuring that the operations-related functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have experience:
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating new programs, policies, long-range goals/objectives, and priorities.
• Working collaboratively with the stakeholders, community groups, law enforcement professionals, and other state agencies.
• Handling employee relations and effectively managing and developing personnel.
• Analyzing systems and programs, workload, and business processes, and evaluating and implementing change.
• Training, education, and guidance related to treatment involving mental health, substance abuse, and a variety of other criminogenic factors.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.


 

Job duties

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in corrections, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, counseling, public administration or a related degree AND four years of professional experience in criminal justice.

 

Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.
