Key Responsibilities:
- Support R&D engineering tasks, including electronics design, tests, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on assembly of printed circuit boards and cable assemblies.
- Build models of electrical components with CAD software.
- Manage parts and equipment in an electronics laboratory.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree seeking EE engineering student
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform responsibilities
- Interest to work in the semiconductor industry
Software/Firmware Team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist manager, project leads, and/or senior engineers towards completion of defined tasks with supervision and guidance.
- Help design and develop firmware applications and drivers.
- Help define and execute software/firmware test and validation procedures.
- Help develop and curate project documentation and status reports
- Collaborates with R&D engineering members to assist with reoccurring technical tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree seeking EE/SW engineering student with emphasis on embedded development
- Experience with development tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git…)
- Demonstrate understanding of Real Time Operating Systems
- Experience with C/C++
Mechanical Team
Key Responsibilities
- Assists manager, project leads, and/or senior engineers towards completion of defined tasks with supervision and guidance.
- Hands-on assembly of stainless-steel plumbing and fittings for high vacuum test systems.
- 3D model new part concepts in SolidWorks to create prototypes.
- Participate in multi-discipline development teams.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with SolidWorks modeling and FEA.
- Interest in fluids, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Hands on mechanical assembly experience (i.e., ME clubs, welding, home car building, LEGO guru, etc.) a plus.
