Senior Accountant

As the Senior Accountant you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, sales tax compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and vendor/customer transaction management. You will ensure accuracy in financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and overall process efficiency. You will lead the annual financial statement audit and collaborate with external tax firms to provide necessary documentation and support. You Serve as the primary accounting resource, working across departments to support financial decision-making and ensure robust financial health.

You will:

• Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they accurately reflect the company’s financial position
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and tax process, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure all financial data is thoroughly reviewed and accurately represented in the financial statements
• Oversee the processing of all vendor transactions, ensuring accurate recording of financial activities related to purchases and payments
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger by maintaining consistent and accurate recording of transactions to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports to management, offering data-driven insights into various business areas, including cost analysis, profitability, and operational efficiency
• Design, implement, and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams, providing financial insights, recommendations, and actionable data to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal control systems
• Proven track record in managing and improving accounting and  operational processes
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and inefficiencies 
• Proficiency in accounting and operations management software (e.g., Netsuite, Quickbooks, BILL, Fyle, & project management tools).
• Ability to develop, implement and review policies and procedures
• Proficiency in Excel and advanced financial reporting tools

Compensation:

Rockbot takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the U.S. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

The compensation band for this role is $115K - $155K, as well as equity, and benefits for all team members.
