Job Description

This role can be based in our San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA office.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

Our Ecosystem Strategic Finance team is searching for a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Strategic Finance for the Knowledge Marketplace and Flagship app. This person will partner closely with senior leaders across the Flagship app to drive strategic initiatives that shape the future growth of LinkedIn for our billion-member ecosystem. A strong candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of strategic insight, analytical rigor, synthesized communication; and have experience with executive partnership, leading transformational initiatives, and team leadership that empowers and develops our talented employees. 


The role is highly cross-functional, blending strategy & execution, creating clarity and speed to execution of needle-moving corporate priorities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving highly complex ambiguous operational and strategic questions within LinkedIn’s R&D team and has exceptional business acumen and the skills to operate autonomously to identify, prioritize, partner, influence and implement high-impact change.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies new opportunities for growth, makes novel strategic recommendations, and drives strategy development for a function/line of business/organizations.  Inspire teams to break organizational assumptions and challenge status quo.
  • Ensures pressure testing of growth opportunities and ensures the consideration of trade-offs and implications across functions/lines of business/organizations.  
  • Leverages insights, data, internal/external trends, and narratives to influence stakeholders and executive leadership.  
  • Drives alignment by synthesizing problems and communicates point of view to support decision-making on strategic issues affecting the function/line of business/organization. 
  • Leads and develops multiple complex workstreams, projects, or operational processes within a function/line of business/organization.  
  • Anticipates obstacles and leverages expertise to recommend and drive implementation of innovative solutions. 
  • Drives performance management, including the creation, maintenance, and updating of models and forecasts.  
  • Leverage LinkedIn data to conduct in-depth analyses across areas of the business to develop deep understanding of key value drivers, identifying improvement areas and opportunities.
  • Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional team (including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Business Development, Corporate Development, and other internal groups, etc.), working to share knowledge and drive people towards a common goal.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 8 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the technology industry.
  • Technically proficient (or interest in learning) SQL, experience a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $237,000.
