The Service Line Administrator – Hospitalist is a strategic and influential leader responsible for the long-term vision and execution of patient service integration across core departments within the assigned service line. This leader will focus on increasing market share by fostering collaborative, strategic partnerships with program leaders, hospital leadership, and physicians to enhance patient experience, improve outcomes, increase efficiencies, and deliver value. Through these efforts, the service line aims to become recognized as a premier provider in the community, known for delivering high-quality, value-based healthcare options that patients seek out for their needs.
Key Relationships
Reports to: Vice Chair of Clinical and Academic Administration
Direct Reports: 58 (mix of physicians & admin +4 supplemental staff)
Key Relationships: ED & Hospital Leaders (COO, CMO, CNO) and other departments within the Dept. of Medicine
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Bachelor's Degree required in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
- Masters Preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
- Knowledge and experience in designated service line area.
- Familiarity with current research on appropriate level of care for assigned service level.
