What You’ll Do

• Work closely with RF front-end component/module partners to drive the innovations in Samsung’s modem solutions.
• Develop the Modem RF HW platform including PC board designing and verification, HW/system test plan design/execution.
• Will do high level/block level simulation and low level/circuit level simulation.
• Will do the verified results documentation.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

What You Bring

• Bachelors with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in the wireless RF product development (e.g component selection and evaluation, schematic capture, PCB layout, Performance Evaluation, Mass Production).
• 2 years of industry experience on circuit/HW design for RFIC verification, modem solution architecture high level design and RF HW development from concept to implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree or M.S degree(preferred) in Electrical Engineering (RF circuit design, RF systems, communications systems engineering).
• Understanding LTE /5G NR UE minimum RF performance requirement in 3GPP standard.
• Design analog/RF PCB design experience with CAD tools such as ADS, Momentum, HFSS, Cadence Schematic/PCB, Sigrity to handle EMI/EMC and signal/Power integrity.
• Co-work with RFIC design team and RF System on RFFE(Front End) device spec.
• Proficiency with wireless test equipment (e.g., 3GPP call boxes, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, Oscilloscope) in the lab.
• Some programming skill to maintain automatic lab measurement.
• Some knowledge with RF calibration handling RF system impairment like DC offset.
• Experience with radiated and conducted wireless measurement methods, and debugging of RF parametric test failures.
• Hand-on electric HW modification experience like RF matching value tune up.
• Knowledge and experience of embedded systems, hardware abstraction layer and system software are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
