Description
The Die Cast Process Technician is a crucial member of the Engineering team, responsible for monitoring and improving manufacturing processes. They are responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine parameters, testing batch quality, and reporting equipment malfunctions in the production environment.
Requirements
• Daily Checks - Process/Other
• Support sample/PPAP runs
• Support Engineering in trials in regards to setup, data collection, tracking, and execution
• Daily Process Parameter Verification on Casting Machines
• Troubleshoot, track, and correct shot problems with support as needed
• Focus Cell Improvement Tasks
• Troubleshoot x-ray void issues at castings and support casting to correct
• Evaluate castings for defects/coating issues and support/train operators to correct
• Identify water flows and directthe correction of
• Identify and work with maintenance to correct machine issues
• Make Tubes (as a backup)
• Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor and management
• Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne
Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
